Intense and horrifying action with the afflicted make up the core of this book. And, our favorite characters are trying to fend off some evil survivors. Toss in a terrible storm just for that added extra excitement! A huge riptide event will make you feel as though you are spitting up salt water and getting sand in your mouth when approaching the beach.A rescue attempt adds another member to the group while another one dies of injuries. In addition, one is missing and the location is unknown. If you are claustrophobic, a truck accident will leave you gasping for air. As a matter of fact, there are several scenes that will make you wish you could get oxygen into your system more quickly.
All in all, action and excitement fill nearly every page, the characters are well defined and the plot is masterfully woven together. Several surprises near the end leave the reader anticipating the next one. And, absolutely love that Marley!

Constant action. I love this series. It's funny I thought the first book was good than I rad the second and thought wow second book is even better. Here I just finished the third and this is by far the best of the 3. This series is keep getting better and better. I whole heartedly recommend this series to anybody who likes zombie genre.
As each event occurs and each character develops I find myself farther and farther enmeshed in the series. The author has a great proofreader because I don't remember any mistakes. I'm rooting for Sean at the moment and I'm hoping the author gives him a break. Nigeria haunts me also!! Glad I wasn't there. So come on, let something go his way please. Thanks for a great series.
Awesome series so far but I am EXTREMELY disappointed that book 4 is not out? It was supposed to be out LAST summer!!!! Please please please make this book a priority, I mean really waiting OVER A YEAR past the original promised date is REDICULE
Good author easy to read. Few curse words. I would recommend the series to adventurers, post-apocalyptic survivors. Lots of bad guys. Lots of Afflicted. I love it when an author can keep me awake at night. I know the book/series is going to be good.
This was my first Zombie book and let's just say that Ryan has created a monster. I have devoured many zombie books since because of this book, and only a few hold a candle to this talented author. I enjoyed it so much, it maybe one the best books I have read in quite a while. I am going to buy everything this author has written and enjoy every minute reading his pages. He has awesome talent and I am so thankful he wrote this book and I was able to find out about it through a sponsored post on facebook. I have already recommended it to my friends and I decided to share my thoughts here for anyone else looking for a well written book. I am addicted to Ryan and his AFFLICTION Z!!!!
The AfflictionZ series is another super great series of a zombie Apocalypse. This short story was definitely great in that it told the short span of time that one family had together after getting the affliction and the way it affected all 3 individuals. Since one of the individuals show up in AfflictionZ book 3, this is a really nice add on. Something I would definitely recommend to others out there especially in tandem with the first 3 books that are out so far. I am so ready for book #4, and love that from the looks of it there may be a book #5.
Another good one.
This starts with Phil. A Phil who is burning with revenge for the deaths in his camp. A camp that had been overrun with the afflicted. He blames Sean Ryder and will do whatever it takes to get his revenge.
The ATV he gave Ryder can be tracked. Track it he will.
Ryder his daugher Emma, Addison, Jenny, Barb and Marley the dog are all headed South to meet up with Turk.
Turks bunker is now unusable. He was able to move his wife and daughter to a house. Turk heads for the harbor in hopes of finding a boat. He's also bound and determined to wait for Sean Ryder and his family.
So begins one damned fine read.
This one has Sean, Turk, Emma, Jenny, Barb, Marley, a girl named Paige, Phil, Barton who heads another group and is in league with Phil to catch Ryder, a hurricain, death, the afflicted, a boat and one hell of a kick ass read.
Five Stars.
